Here begins the time where veils are lifted and the voices of our ancestors can be felt like the wind rustling through the leaves as they turn to the colors of Autumn.
This is a time of remembrance, shedding off the old so we may make ready for the new. Many traditions celebrate their New Year this month with holidays such as Rosh Hashanah -Jewish Oct 2nd-4th, Raʼs as-Sanah al-Hijrīyah -Islamic Oct 3rd, Dwali-Hindu, Sikh, and Jain Oct 30th, Murador-Aboriginal Oct 30th and Samhain-Pagan Of course it is also a time where people join in costumed revelry What will you bring to this special time? What will you shed off and what will you dress yourself in? Consider the world as one big masquerade. Everyone plays a character but at the end of the party the masks come off.. Or do they?
